| The design approach was a response to context and programme, with the former exploring the south facing views over the hills with its large glazed surfaces. The programme defines a clear approach of two distinct forms of the old and new bringing together two generations under one roof. The simple pitched roof provides a familiar architectural language, richly detailed with careful use of materials and colours with large, fluid, open–plan spatial organisation. |
